Absolute Contracting LLC operates AbsCon, a construction and mechanical estimating application. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
Absolute Contracting LLC is the data controller for the personal data processed through AbsCon. You can contact us about this notice at the address shown on our website or through the support channel in the app.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and sign-in credentials.
- Project data you enter: job names, site addresses, dimensions, vendor quotes, estimates, proposals, and drawings.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, and approximate device and browser information.
- Support data: messages you send us.
3. Why we use it
- To create and maintain your account (performance of our contract with you).
- To provide the estimating, document, and drawing features you ask for.
- To keep the service secure and prevent fraud (our legitimate interests).
- To improve the product and respond to support requests (our legitimate interests).
- To meet legal and tax obligations where required.
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers that host and operate the app (cloud hosting, database, and authentication).
- Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, manages subscriptions, handles tax compliance, and issues invoices. Paddle processes payment data under its own privacy terms.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
- Authorities where required by law.
5. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as long afterward as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise any of these rights; we respond within one month.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
8. Cookies
AbsCon uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies through your browser settings, though sign-in will stop working without the essential ones.
